(1) Illinois EPA awards the Village of Schaumburg a $43,278 Municipal Brownfields Redevelopment Grant to conduct environmental assessment activities at a former Murzyn-Anderson facility. The grant will aid the Village in assessing the extent and impact of contamination left behind after years of commercial operations at the site. http://www.illinois.gov/PressReleases/ShowPressRelease.cfm?SubjectID=29&RecNum=9931
(2) Members of the Illinois House and Senate recently approved an extension of the State’s biodiesel blending program. The bill extends the sunset date for the biodiesel state sales tax incentives to Dec. 31, 2018.
