(1) An environmental assessment relating to underground storage tank leak incidents at a Speedy Citgo property in Palatine is continuing, and the gas station could be demolished sometime in December. http://palatine.patch.com/articles/speedy-citgo-remediation-continues

(2) Two New Lenox-based companies have settled an environmental dispute with the state and another company, agreeing to pay damages related to pollution at a construction site that eroded part of a Will County Forest Preserve. http://newlenox.patch.com/articles/pollution-lawsuit-incomplete
